Trademark Law

Trademark law exists to protect both businesses and consumers. Businesses can gain trademark protection for certain 'assets' of the business: primarily, the name of the business and their logo or icon. Trademark law protects consumers by preventing companies from passing their products or services off using the name or logo of their more-well known competitors.
